Sept 2007



I am disappointed with myself, only 10lbs since July. I really really need to push myself and exercise. But now no excuses school is back in, and really need to get back to the YMCA.

Chattanooga



Well we got a lot of rain, but did manage to see some site. Rode the Chattanooga Ducks, went to the Art Museum, and went to the Chattanooga Nature Center. Went to the Hamilton mall and got new hair cut, but still gained 3 lbs. Have a week to try to lose some weight before doctor visit. Missed my shaggy soooo much, he was sooo happy to see me when we got home. Also including pic of hubby, one week of togetherness was a little much, lol.

Don't know if it's the color of the shirt, or the distance of the picture, but I find I look bigger in the 255 photo than I do in the 271 photo. But at least the numbers are going down. Got my trampoline Jogger in, can't make it throught the whole video but hopefully soon. One more week till Vacation, looking forward to Chattanooga, hopefully will be able to get family to do more than just sit in hotel room.

July 3, nothing planned for the 4th, since its seems to be such a big food day. Today my mother in law took my daughter out to eat, I opted to stay home. Told them since they hadn't seen each e. Todays weight 255. The other day bought two new pairs of jeans, one pair of pull ons, size 24 and button zip size 26. Hard to tell how many pants sizes I have gone down, since for so long I have worn stretch pants size 30 and have stretched them out. My size 5x shirts are way tooo big, I am in 2x or if I want them loose 3x shirts. So happy to be able to buy stuff off rack, but shirts seem to be too short I prefer shirts to be at least 30 inches or longer, so I ordered so Tshirts from the mens big and tall catalog they are 35 inches long, to cover my hanging belly, when I finally reach goal, I hope to be able to get that taken care of thru surgery. Once I get my camera back from my son will have a new pic with my new jeans. Also July 15 leaving for Chattanooga, Tenn. a week vacation,Last time we went on vacation was my before picture, I am sure I will get around a lot better this time being a whole lot smaller. Another thing to mention I lost two ring sizes, my wedding set kept falling off, so went to the jewerler and got my ring resized from a 9 to a 7.

Progress

Hurt my foot last night, so exercise is out for awhile, lost 2lbs this week so don't think I will make my goal of 40 lbs in 3 months. So far lost 19 lbs in 1.5 months. 131lbs in 11 months.

May 2007


May 2007 me at 271, promised doc I would lose 40 lbs by end of July lost 6 so far, need to start exercising. Trying to get family on diet too. They are overweight, daughter is the worst, don't want her to have same troubles as I did.


This is me at 307 took about 5 months to get here. What I forgot to say in my first post, was that I was on duragesic patches for pain from fibromyalgia, now with some weight off, I am better able to handle the pain. I am off my diabeties meds, luckly didn't have high blood pressure, but did have an abnormal stress test. Can't get that checked out till after I am under 300lbs. too big for the angiogram table.

The Beginning


This is my before picture. Taken on Vacation May 2006. I had gastric bypass 7/11/2006, I had what is call a Biliopancreatic Diversion with Duodenal Switch, half the stomach is removed and half the small intestines. So I don't absorb as much fat, and can't eat as much. I have to take lots of vitamins for the rest of my life. For the first month I could only eat liquids, which made getting my proteins in very hard, I have to eat 68 gms a day. I try to avoid carbs. Eating proteins first then vegies then fruits.
